Ski Boat Upgrades:
Wakeboard Tower Speakers and Subwoofers by: Earmark Car Audio

the pictures below to see a larger version.
The system shown was installed in a 2002 Sea Ray 220 Bow
Rider. The factory stereo features a Clarion marine CD player
that operates four Clarion 6 1/2 inch dual cone speakers.
Earmark added
a pair of rear-firing enclosure speakers to the tower for the
benefit of wakeboarders. These speakers are mounted via matching
white powder-coated brackets which are attached with all stainless
steel hardware and neoprene gaskets. The speaker cables run
through the center of the tower rails. Chassis grommets are
used at each pass-thru. A service loop is provided and a watertight
deck plug allows removal so the tower can fold away for storage.
The tower speakers are run by an amplifier mounted under the
glove compartment. An amplifier mounting board is made
of water-resistant birch, clad in matching marine-grade carpet
and mounted via stainless steel hardware.
A Bazooka 8-inch powered subwoofer is also mounted under the
port side glove compartment. The two aluminum ring brackets
provide a secure mount that will stand up to the shock and vibration
of a choppy day. The wakeboard amplifier and powered subwoofer
are totally out of sight.
Within the glove compartment and next to the CD player, we
installed a subwoofer level control and an on/off switch for
the tower speakers
This particular upgrade package is very affordable
and extremely popular among ski boat owners because we are using
everything the boat is originally equipped with.
