Waterski Boats of Dallas requested
a demo that was over the top and worthy of a magazine feature
article. When they auditioned the completed project they
said it exceeded their expectations. |
| |
|

|
Behind the front observation
seat gull wing cushion we installed a 15-inch widescreen
LCD. The factory shock was replaced with a new unit
having 10 lbs additional capacity. |

|
 |
Within the amp rack in the port side locker
a flush-mounted DVD player and Sony Playstation provide video
sources to the dual source LCD monitor. |
| |
|
 |
Dual radio frequency controllers allow the
convenience of wireless Playstation operation. An infrared
target positioned in the port combing pocket extends the
range of the DVD remote control. |

A
birch amp rack covered in marine-grade non-mildew rubber-backed
carpet. The rack is elevated off of the sole via polymer
spacers. |
| |
|
 |
Both
JL Audio amplifiers are mounted over acrylic lenses. The
acrylic lenses have an identical footprint to the amplifier.
Beneath the amplifiers swirled silver aluminum trim is patterned
in a tribal flame to match the overhead wing and sub enclosure.
|
| |
|
|
All
wires and cables are terminated through accent plates that
are finished in a black and graphite cracked crystal finish.
This second texture also occurs throughout the tower presentation
and subwoofer enclosure.

|
Under the rear observation seat dual Polk MOMO 10-inch down-firing
subwoofers vent out of a Supra ‘S’ grill. |
| |
|

|
The floor of the sub enclosure features an aluminum panel that is
also painted in the black and graphite cracked crystal finish.
The socket head bolt pattern assists the reflective effect in the
perimeter interior mirrors. The visual is so effective that many viewers
at the boat show believed there were four woofers versus two. Acrylic
flames guide the woofer cables and also diffract the light
across their frosted edges.
The enclosure is overlaid with a vinyl-clad birch façade,
which is covered with a swirled silver aluminum panel. Again, the
tribal flame runs consistently through the boat.
A storage compartment was incorporated into the side.
Above, a swirled silver aluminum ‘S’ is accented by
black acrylic trim. |
| |
|
 |
The swirled silver aluminum ‘S’ vent
received a black stainless steel mesh insert for contrast. The mesh
is coated with an etching primer and black glass particle paint. |
| |
|

|
A swirled silver wing suspends
four bullet pods and four halogen lamps. The lamps are
in black cases. The pods are custom painted in the same
two-tone graphite and black cracked crystal finish as
used in the sub enclosure and on the amp rack trim. The
graphite also matches the speaker grills throughout.
The four speaker pods are equipped with white LED light
rings to match the dominant white hull. |

|
 |
In
addition to upgrading the factory coaxils to Polk dB, we added a fourth
set of coaxils in the boat. The coaxils are recessed in white vinyl
clad bolsters, which are trimmed in black piping.
|

|
 |
We equipped the Supra with dual batteries and a Perko
switch. |

Tower lights containing 33 diodes behind each frosted acrylic
ring. |

 |
Lit up amp rack with acrylic diffusers under each amp. |
| |
|
 |
Lit up sub enclosure with the frosted-edge flames diffracting the
lights. |
| |
|
 |
Lit up, Supra ‘S’. The six down-casting LEDs are concealed
in a white polymer bezel. |
| |
|

|
The rear engine compartment
vents received a reflective interior treatment and are
indirectly illuminated with red LEDs for a fiery taillight
effect. |
|
|
| |
|
This Supra was the hit of the Dallas Winter Boat show. In
fact, this was the consensus among competing boat dealers
too.
