The Tigé came factory equipped with a Clarion marinized CD receiver and four Clarion marine coaxials, one pair in the open bow and the other pair at the far aft facing forward.

First, we added a Sony XM Satellite Radio package since the owner uses the boat on a lake that is too far out of town to pickup FM. This particular XM package was a transportable receiver that when using additional docking stations can transfer from car to boat to home with only a single subscription.

The XM sharkfin antenna mounted and silicon-sealed in an unobstructed location on the deck cap.

A Clarion equalizer is mounted to a carpeted panel which is attached to the underside of the glove box. The EQ allows custom tailoring of the sound and also provides individual zone control over the subwoofer, deck and dash coaxials plus wakeboard tower speakers. The EQ has an auxiliary input for a portable MP3 player which can rest protected in the glove compartment where a standard A/V game port can make access a breeze for 12 volts and RCA jacks.

On a marine-carpeted, birch amp board we added three amplifiers. One Clarion marine amplifier operates the subwoofer in mono. A second Clarion amplifier runs the dash and deck speakers at two ohm stereo. An Alpine 4-channel amplifier is bridged into two channels to drive the two 8 ohm enclosures above the tower. The pair of coaxials on the open bow are powered off of the internal CD receiver power from the opposite side of the RCA output so that the receiverÕs fader may provide full control over the bow speakers as a separate and fourth zone.

A Clarion marine 10-inch free-air subwoofer was added under the driver’s console.

We added a third pair of coaxials dash-mounted under the windshield on each side. This location is ideal to carry a majority of the volume for driver and passengers while the boat is underway.

These Speakercraft enclosures provide the perfect weatherproof wakeboard tower speakers. With dual 5 1/4–inch woofers and a large polycarbonate W-dome tweeter per side, they are louder, carry farther and sound better. The key is that the woofers are an integral part of the enclosures versus using marinized automotive coaxials which are designed for very large air volumes. The Speakercraft Weathercraft series also feature a more sophisticated crossover network. These units are mounted with 3/8-inch stainless steel machine bolts and polymer spacer blocks that are radiused to conform to the round tower rail.

A service loop allows the tower to breakdown for storage.

The speaker cables are loomed along with the mast light wiring and pentrate the deck cap through a watertight gland.

This Tigé comes equipped with two wired remote control cups. One is at the driver’s instrument panel while the other is located on the transom above the swim deck.

Who knows when a wakeboarder shows thumbs up whether he means faster or louder!
